BB Home Design will template, fabricate and install solid surface worktops to your new or existing kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or office. All you need to do is fax, email or post your plan for a costing.

Work surfaces

• Corian

Developed and manufactured by Dupont, Corian® is a combination of natural minerals which are fixed in a clear acrylic resin to form a solid, non-porous, semi-matt surface. This manufacturing process also means that Corian® is available in a wide range of colours.

Dupont also manufacture adhesives with the same mineral content and colours, which are used to anneal joints in the worktop making them almost invisible.

Corian® can also be used to make sinks, so it is possible to create a look where the transition from surface to sink appears to be continuous.

• Staron

Developed and manufactured by Samsung, Staron® is the same as Corian® a combination of natural minerals which are fixed in a clear acrylic resin to form a solid, non-porous, semi-matt surface. This manufacturing process also means that Staron® is available in a wide range of colours.

Staron® makes an elegant, hygienic and easy-to-maintain surface in any kitchen. Commonly used as countertops, backsplashes, sinks, and bar tops, it's easily customized to allow a range of decorative inlays, edge treatments and other options, including heat rails and drainage channels.

• Tempest

Staron® ^TEMPEST is a 100% acrylic solid surface alternative designed to provide a look similar to natural stone and quartz with the benefits if solid surface. Staron® ^TEMPEST is a new generation of solid surface specifically designed with a look that rivals natural stone and quartz. Unlike classic solid surface, TEMPEST features highly translucent particulate within the material. The result is a unique, eye-catching aesthetic, which allows light to refract within the material instead of reflecting off the surface. This creates a surface that has visual depth and is less opaque.
